Earth Angel Newsletter December 2007
Dear Earth Angels:
It was great to see the 4 Group turnout at Hope Chapter #13 in LaGrande on November 17. A wonderful Turkey Casserole was prepared and served. We certainly thank WM Earlene Lamb and her kitchen crew for the noon lunch and all of their hospitality.
The EA meeting following was very well attended. At the helm was Brother Phil Barr, filling in for Absent in Africa Sister Michele Gardner. Thanks to Sisters Patti and Ma Baker. for the Door Prizes.
I understand that there may be some Earth Angels who are not receiving the periodic Earth Angel Newsletter. The Newsletters are sent out by Marissa Unger, our Corresponding Secretary. Marissa is WM of Adarel Chapter #3. If you would like to be added to the list of recipients, or, changed from hard copy to email, please contact Marissa. Please specify preferred media. Marissa may be contacted by phone at 541-890-2167, or email thefrogprincess@gmail.com, or regular mail at 3555 S. Pacific Highway #249, Medford, OR 97501. The Holiday Season is upon us. Duhhhhhhhh! We hope your Thanksgiving was as “full-filling” as ours. Joy and Peace to all!
Sister Patti and I have had some Oak Trees made into both a Tux Saver and a Pin which are available at $5.00 each with all proceeds going to Home Endowment. There are also available the Session Charms and Pins from WGM Sharon and me.
Monthly reports continue from those Committee Chairmen who are on fund drives for OES. They and their committees continue diligently working to raise funds for our various philanthropic projects. Thanks to everyone for your hard work and also to those whose donations will help those who need help.
The Task Force continues to solicit “specific issues” you may have for the betterment of our Order. You may wish to solicit your Chapter Members for their issues to forward on to the Task Force or I would be glad to receive them and pass them along. The next Open Forum is scheduled for 12:30 PM in the Columbia Room at Jennings McCall Saturday, December 8, 2007.
I hope to see you all at our next meeting December 8, 2007 at Victoria Chapter #76 in Turner. The Dress Code will be “Christmas-e-ish”. Please bring a can of food for our Needy Family Food Drive. Following the meeting we will have an Ornament Gift Exchange.
One of the LAWS OF THE UNIVERSE is the “Law of Location” which states “No matter where you go, there you are.”
Fraternal Love,
Hunt M. Compton
Worthy Grand Patron
P.S. Remember Home Endowment
Editor's Note: I didn't receive the minutes until Thurs afternoon, so they weren't included in the newsletter (such as it was) and the "paper recipients" haven't gotten them at all. Could someone who is able to attend the meeting tomorrow please print them out and read them, as only those on the email list will see them. I will also add them to the next newsletter. My goal is to have all the stuff in by 1/1/07, so I can get it mailed out in a timely manner. Thank you!
