To the Members of the Grand Chapter of Oregon and our guests,
This letter is being written to bring you up to date on some of the changes that are planned for Grand Chapter this year.  Please pay attention as this may effect when you arrive at Grand Chapter as well as the Banquets and meals that you choose to attend.

    On Sunday, June 20th,

    • the Morning Prayer Service will begin at 9:00 a.m.  It will be followed by the:
    • ESTARL Scholarship Awards
    • Memorial Tributes
    • Draping the Altar and the
    • Grand Chaplain’s Memorial Service.
    • The “50” Year members luncheon will be at noon on Sunday with a program to honor them beginning at 1 pm.
    • The rest of the afternoon will be spent with the Youth Groups,
    • Scholarship Recipients,
    • Presentation of Philanthropic Funds and
    • Introduction of the Masonic Appendant and Concordant Presiding Officers.
    • This is to allow the Youth and Scholarship recipients along with other Masonic members to get home early and be ready for school or work the next day.

On Sunday evening

  • the All Membership Banquet will be held at 6:30 pm.
  • The evening session to begin at 7:30 pm with a tribute to the 100th Anniversary of the Pendleton Round Up and then honor our Masons and 100th Anniversary of Father’s Day.

As you can see this will change the practice schedule from Sunday to Saturday, June 19th.

Monday, June 21

  • will be Introduction of our Distinguished Guests, which will include our MWGM Sister Rennie Ofton and MWGP Brother Fred Clarke.
  • In the afternoon we have Elections and the presentation of the Budget.
  • The evening will include a Reception at 6:30 pm to honor our General Grand Chapter Visitors and Oregon’s Own GGC Ambassador and Committee Members.

Tuesday, June 22

  • will be busy with Legislation and Resolutions, along with reports.
  • The evening will be our “Barn Yard Bash and Pig Party”.  Remember to bring your pig with all the money you have been feeding him for the General Fund.  This will be a casual evening, come attired in your Barn Yard Clothes, such as your apple pickin’ clothes, slop the hogs, feeding the chickens, etc.  Come up with a great costume for you and your pig. No pig, come and enjoy the festivities anyway.  Does your chapter or association have a booth in mind?

Wednesday, June 23

  • Installation will be at 2:00 p.m. in the afternoon.  We hope that this will allow more people to stay for installation and still start for home in the late afternoon.

We are looking forward to meeting and greeting everyone in June at our “Bee Happy…Make Memories” session.

Respectfully Submitted,

Rebecca Price, Worthy Grand Matron
